Day 4 of the 2nd test between India and the West Indies has come to an end, with India just 58 runs away from victory. India scored 63/1 while chasing a target of 121. KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan made a partnership of 54 runs after the quick departure of Yashasvi Jaiswal.

West Indies set a target of 390, which was led by John Campbell, who scored 115, and Shai Hope, who scored 103. Additionally, Justin Greaves and Jayden Seales had a partnership of 79 runs.

Sai Sudharsan and KL Rahul Maintain Steady Pace

Sai Sudharsan and KL Rahul adopted a cautious and measured approach on a slow pitch, focusing on rotating the strike and playing out the day without further loss, despite the team's initial intention to chase the target on Day 4. 

India now requires 58 more runs to win the test match and secure the series at 2-0. Sudharsan was unbeaten on 30 runs. He managed to score these runs off 47 balls. KL Rahul, on the other hand, scored 25 runs off 54 balls, including 2 boundaries.

Following a dominant performance from India in the first innings, the match progressed largely along the assumed lines. However, there was intense resistance from the West Indies. 

India established a commanding position, with a good partnership from KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan. The pair is unbeaten at the close of the fourth day, safely taking India’s chase into the final day. Overall, India has scored 63 after losing the opener Yashasvi Jaiswal in 18 overs.
