The new V4 will be hand assembled at the company’s Solihull facility in the United Kingdom while sourcing several components from India.

Apart from that, three new models named Manx, Manx R, and Atlas will also be introduced. Among these, the most hyped model is Atlas. Famous among adventure-lovers, this versatile middleweight capacity model features a twin-cylinder engine, which is expected to be locally manufactured in India.

Impact of India-UK Free Trade Agreement

India and the UK have officially signed the India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA). As part of the FTA, India will now levy a reduced import duty of 10% on British cars and motorcycles, a sharp cut from the earlier rate of 110%. The agreement is expected to significantly boost trade between the two nations and offer considerable benefits to the automotive sector, especially for premium imports like Norton.

While signing the agreement, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer showcased Norton Motorcycles to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. Both the Prime Ministers inspected Norton’s current motorcycle lineup in the presence of TVS Motor Company Managing Director and CEO Sudarshan Venu.

Speaking on the occasion, Venu said, “The signing of the India-UK Free Trade Agreement is a pivotal moment; it opens new frontiers for Indian companies to take ‘Make in India’ to the world. We are particularly excited about the launch of new Norton vehicles this year, which will benefit from the strengthening of trade links between India and the UK.”

The upcoming year will be crucial for both brands as Norton prepares to get back into relevance and make a mark on the global stage, as well as in India, which is one of the world’s fastest-growing premium motorcycle markets.
