Masood Azhar’s Sister, Sadiya Azhar, Leads Jaish-e-Mohammed’s First Women-Led Militant Group
One of the major terror groups in Pakistan, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), has launched its first-ever women’s wing called “Jamaat-Al-Muminaat.” Sources suggest that the new wing will be led by Masood Azhar’s sister, Sadiya Azhar. Sadiya’s husband was reportedly killed during India’s Operation Sindoor.
First Ever Women’s Wing Launched by JeM
Several terror groups around the world, like Boko Haram, ISIS, Hamas, and the LTTE, have historically deployed women to execute their operations. However, JeM’s move to incorporate a women’s division is quite shocking as it refrained from involving women in its operations.
Sources suggest that JeM intends to carry out several operations in India through networks in Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, and southern states through its new women’s wing. The group is misusing social media platforms for the sake of recruitment, propaganda, and fundraising.
Jamaat-Al-Muminaat Formed After India’s Operation Sindoor
JeM’s women-led militant group will be led by Sadiya Azhar, who is the sister of Masood Azhar, the present leader of Jaish-e-Mohammed. Her husband, Yusuf Azhar, was killed during India’s attack, Operation Sindoor. He was in the JeM’s headquarters at Markaz Subhanallah, which was completely demolished by the Indian strike.
JeM is enrolling the wives of its commanders and the women from economically weaker backgrounds in Bahawalpur, Karachi, Mansehra, Haripur, and other centres. Sources also point out that Jaish-e-Mohammed intends to execute suicide bomber attacks in the future after getting the approval from Masood Azhar and his brother.
About Operation Sindoor
Jamaat-ul-Mominaat’s formation comes after India’s Operation Sindoor. Indian forces struck terror camps in Pakistan that were located around 100 km from the border. In this precise attack, ten people from Masood Azhar’s family were killed along with four of their aides.
India initiated Operation Sindoor in response to the terror attack in its Pahalgam province. Over 27 people were brutally killed in this attack after inquiring about their religion. The four terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack have been killed, but Operation Sindoor was aimed at eliminating all terror bases in Pakistan.
To sum up, Jaish-e-Mohammed has launched its first-ever women’s wing to execute its future operations in India. It is reported that the terror group is enlisting women from poor backgrounds and wives of its commanders.
