India-Firmly-Rejects-Trump’s-Mediation-Offer-on-Kashmir,-Demands-Pakistan-Vacate-PoKNew Delhi Asserts Sovereignty Over Entire Jammu & Kashmir Amid Global Commentary

India has strongly dismissed the offer by US President Donald Trump to broker the longstanding Kashmir dispute with Pakistan, declaring categorically that the sole issue of discussion is the restoration of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The Indian government clarified that there is no scope for any third-party intervention on matters related to India’s sovereignty.

India’s Stand: No External Involvement in Kashmir

Trump, in a Truth Social post, hailed India and Pakistan for lowering temperatures after recent hostilities across the border and declared that he wished to assist in solving the Kashmir conflict. But Indian authorities were clear in their response. “Our stand on Kashmir is extremely simple. The only thing left is for Pakistan to return the territory it is holding. We don’t need or want any mediation,” government sources informed PTI.

India has insisted all along that all issues with Pakistan need to be settled bilaterally, as provided for in the Simla Agreement of 1972. Officials said that any talk with Islamabad will only take place through military-to-military links such as the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO).

India Says No, Pakistan Says Yes to Mediation

While Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed Trump’s gesture and thanked him for showing interest, India stood firm. “If they want to talk about handing over terrorists, then we’re open to that. Otherwise, there’s nothing more to discuss,” sources added.

The moves follow a surge in tensions after a terror attack in Pahalgam that killed several people. In a rapid reaction, Indian forces conducted precision strikes under Operation Sindoor, targeting terror camps and strategic infrastructure deep within Pakistan.

Operation Sindoor Sends a Strong Message

Air Marshal AK Bharti declared that the Indian Air Force struck major Pakistani airbases such as Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Rafiq, and Sargodha in a planned and strategic operation. “We chose to attack where it would cause maximum pain. Our message is clear and loud, India will not take provocation,” Bharti declared.

Ceasefire Holding, But India Remains Alert

India continues to maintain its guard during the ceasefire. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has said that the initial contact to reduce tensions was made by the Pakistani DGMO, contradicting the American charge of having brokered the peace.

In a talk with US Vice President JD Vance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed that India will retaliate with greater ferocity if attacked again. India’s message is loud and clear: peace can only start with Pakistan leaving the land it illegally occupies.
