Australia has been forced to make a late switch in their side for the three-match ODI series against India, which starts on October 19 in Perth. All-rounder Cameron Green has been sidelined by a low-grade side strain he suffered while training.

Cricket Australia has chosen to act prematurely to guarantee Green's availability for the upcoming Ashes series against England, which starts on November 21 in Perth.

Marnus Labuschagne has been summoned to the national team in Green's place. Labuschagne has played exceptional cricket, with four centuries in five games for Queensland, two of which were in 50-over cricket.

He was rewarded with an ODI recall for his performances, a major comeback to the limited-overs circuit

This is alongside a string of misfortunes for Australia before the India series. Wicket-keeper batsman Josh Inglis won't be available as he has a calf strain, and Adam Zampa will miss the opening ODI due to family issues.

Alex Carey is also not available for domestic reasons. Matthew Kuhnemann will cover for Zampa, and Josh Philippe will act as cover behind the wickets for Inglis.
