Ashish Kapoor Accused of Raping a Woman During a House Party in Delhi

A Gurugram-based woman has accused Ashish Kapoor of raping her in a bathroom. The television actor, known for starring in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, was arrested by the police in Pune. The case is registered at the Civil Lines police station in Delhi.

The incident occurred in the second week when Ashish Kapoor attended a house party in Delhi. The complainant was inside a bathroom and was startled by Ashish entering the bathroom. On 11 August, the woman filed a complaint against the actor for raping her.

The police have also reported that the complainant named a few other people associated with the crime. However, she changed her statement, saying that only Ashish Kapoor was involved in the case. The officials have said that the investigation is ongoing and that the exact truth of the matter will soon be revealed.

The police officials have also shared that Ashish was initially tracked to be in Goa, but he fled and was later caught in Pune, living with one of his friends. He got arrested on Tuesday.
