Gone are the days where writer’s write songs and produce music, today with the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) songwriters now have game changing tools at their disposal. Many these days view an AI as a potential partner in music making, and enhancing it. When we think of AI in audio, the first thing that comes into our mind is Language Processing and Speech Recognition. But indeed it is more than that. Do you know nearly 20 to 30% of the top singles will be written partially or entirely with the help of machine-learning software in the next decade. Isn't that interesting? The latest developments of AI in music is also fueling its use in popular music production.

There are many good open source tools that can be used for AI in music. These systems work by using deep learning networks which is again a type of AI that relies on analysing large amounts of data. It picks up on things like chords, length, tempo, and how notes relate to one another, lending from all the inputs so that it can write its own melodies. 

But of all, Amper is the easiest to use AI in music. This is because the IBM and Google’s projects need a bit of coding skills and unpacking of developer language on GitHub. And it also has an interface which is quite simple too.

It is exciting to see the use of AI in music production to get a glimpse of what the future might look like. AI in music can be a wonderful element, most AI music systems are extremely good at producing and composing intresusmentation. But since they don’t yet understand song structure, this very soul element remains to humans.
