The-Multi-Device-Capability-on-WhatsApp-is-Now-Accessible! (1)

WhatsApp companion mode is now available for the following Android users

WhatsApp Companion mode allows users to connect their accounts to other devices such as tablets. The instant messaging platform is bringing companion mode to smartphones running Android beta. The option to connect to another device will be available on the registration screen.

It should be noted that users can link up to four devices at once, implying that they can link more than two mobile devices to their WhatsApp accounts. after linking a WhatsApp account to a new phone, chat history on the primary device will be synced across all linked devices. Furthermore, even when using WhatsApp from a linked smartphone, personal messages and calls will be end-to-end encrypted. When someone sends you a message, it is sent to all of your devices, ensuring that encryption is always preserved. However, because this is a beta version, users may not be able to access all WhatsApp features.

For example, viewing live locations and managing broadcast lists and stickers may be unavailable. It's worth noting that companion mode between mobile phones is now available for some beta testers running the most recent WhatsApp beta for Android update. It is expected to be made available to more users in the coming weeks. Want to join the WhatsApp Android beta program and try out new features before everyone else? Here's how.

Step 1: Navigate to the Google Play Store.

Step 2: Type WhatsApp into the search bar.

Step 3: Go to the WhatsApp page and scroll down to the bottom to find the 'Become a beta tester' option.

Step 4: Click 'I'm in' and then 'Join' to confirm.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp is testing a beta version to reduce notification overload on user accounts by automatically muting group notification alerts that have more than a certain number of members and maybe a large group. To recall, the instant messaging app recently increased its group chat participant limit from 256 to 1,024 members in order to attract more business and make the platform more popular for official purposes.

Some users of WhatsApp (beta) version v2.22.24.18 have access to a brand-new feature called Companion mode, which allows them to add a new phone as a secondary device. WABetainfo discovered the feature, which is now only available to a small group of beta users. A beta release recently included Link to Tablet compatibility, and the most recent version now includes phone support for the same. If you enable the feature, you will see "Link with your phone" and the app will prompt you to scan the QR code, just like the WhatsApp Web or Desktop app. To see if you have the new feature, tap the menu icon and select "Linked devices." When you add the phone to your WhatsApp account, the conversations will sync between the two devices. Some functions, such as live location, stickers, and broadcasts, may not sync. More than two cell phones, as well as up to four devices, can be linked to the same WhatsApp account. As previously stated, the functionality is currently only available to a small number of beta testers, but a larger rollout is expected in the coming days.
