The current Indian cricket team opener, Abhishek Sharma, was seen hitting 25 to 30 sixes during a practice session ahead of the India vs. UAE match. He displayed the power play against the bowling of the Indian squad's vice-captain, Shubman Gill. 

It was an optional training session. Sharma relied on hand-eye coordination to hit towering sixes, which could have significantly boosted his confidence before their upcoming match with the UAE.

Abhishek Sharma made his debut in the team in a match against Zimbabwe. Sharma is known for his left-handed batting style and left-arm spin. The left-hand batsman has been regarded as the number one T20I batsman for 2025.

Suryakumar Yadav’s Take on Aggression on the Pitch

Indian cricket team captain Suryakumar Yadav, while discussing recent incidents of aggression on the pitch, said that he would not try to restrain the aggression demonstrated by the team members and that they would try to take the field “on the front foot.”

He said, “Temper? Sir, aggression is always there on the field when we take the field. Without aggression, I do not believe one can play this sport.” Further adding, “And I am sure, I am very excited to take the field on the front foot.”

In support of Yadav’s take on pitch aggression, Pakistan cricket team captain Salman Ali Agha shared similar remarks. He responded, “Well, you do not need to say anything to any player. Everyone is individually very different.” He went on further to applaud aggression, saying that “If someone wants to be aggressive on the field, they are more than welcome to do that.” Finally, he said, “When it comes to fast bowlers, they are always aggressive.”
