Kirk was shot to death on Wednesday, when he was addressing some students and supporters at a university, amidst the chanting of his trademark slogan, “Prove Me Wrong.”

During a press briefing on Thursday, Utah Governor Spencer Cox requested people to actively cooperate with the investigation. The public was also offered a $100,000 reward for assisting the officials in finding the suspect.

Speaking to Fox News, Donald Trump said, “The person was involved with law enforcement, but was a person of faith, a minister, and brought him to a US Marshal who was fantastic.” He further added, “They drove into the police headquarters, and he's there now. We have the person we think is the person we're looking for.”

However, the FBI has yet to confirm whether the shooter was caught due to the attractive reward or for some other reason. It is reported that Tyler Robinson’s father took him to the police station as soon as Tyler confessed to the crime.
