PM Modi warns Pakistan after India destroys terror camps in swift Operation Sindoor strike
In his first public speech in Rajasthan since Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 22 issued a warning to Pakistan. He warned that India’s enemies have now learned what happens when ‘sindoor becomes gunpowder.’
Addressing a rally in Palana, Bikaner, PM Modi announced, “Those who attempted to erase the sindoor of our sisters were brought to dust.” The announcement was made regarding the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 civilians lost their lives.
Nine Terror Camps Destroyed in 22 Minutes
Modi announced that the Indian armed forces, in Operation Sindoor, had razed nine major terror hideouts within 22 minutes on May 7. The operation was a unified initiative by the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and targeted terror infrastructure belonging to terror groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Hizbul Mujahideen, and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

“Our forces laid such a trap that Pakistan was left to go down on its knees,” said the Prime Minister, praising the coordination between the tri-services and the government’s call to provide them with a free hand.
Sindoor Runs in My Veins
Stepping into a symbolic tone, Modi addressed the people, saying, “Not blood, but sindoor runs in my veins.” He referred to Operation Sindoor as a ‘new form of justice’ and the fierce face of a ‘capable and new India’. He further stated, “This is not a game of search and revenge, this is a message to the enemies.”
Speaking about the brutality of the attack at Pahalgam, the Prime Minister said the terrorists had tried to wipe out ‘sindoor’ was reduced to dust. “The bullets which were fired in Pahalgam went into the hearts of 140 crore Indians,” he said, highlighting the emotional shock the attack caused the country.
No Dialogue or Trade With Pakistan
Addressing Pakistan directly, Modi restated that India would neither talk nor trade with its neighbor. “If there are any talks, they will only be about Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK),” he maintained.
He also dismissed threats of nuclear war and asserted that India would no longer make a distinction between individual terrorists and states sponsoring terrorism.

Pakistan’s Failed Retaliation and Ceasefire Agreement
After India’s precision strikes on May 7, Pakistan tried to retaliate in the form of cross-border firing, drones, and UAVs on May 8, 9, and 10. But all efforts were successfully repelled by the air defence systems of India.
The four-day intense face-off ended on May 10 when both countries agreed on a ceasefire understanding. But Modi assured that punitive actions, including the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, would continue.
Rahimyar Khan Air Base in ICU
Taking a stern dig at Pakistan, Modi stated that although the country was unable to harm India’s Nal Air Base in Bikaner, its own Rahimyar Khan Air Base has been ‘in ICU’ because of the Indian attack. “No one knows when it will open again,” he said.

The Message: India Will Retaliate, Decisively
Ending his speech, PM Modi promised that any act of terror against India would be retaliated with a firm and immediate response. “The time and mode of response will be determined by our defense forces,” he declared.
