Filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan escalated from their discussion on the latest season of Bigg Boss 19.

Salman responded to Kashyap's outrageous claim that he would ‘get on his knees’ for the filmmaker calmly, as always, with the words in Hindi, "Main roz ghutno par jaata hoon par upar waale ke liye" (I go down on my knees every day, but only before the Almighty).

Kashyap's public accusations have been the source of the whole situation, where he has accused Salman Khan and his family of causing his downfall in the film industry. The row goes back to 2010 when the hit movie Dabangg, which Kahsyap directed, came out.

Kashyap asserts that after the film's success, he was excluded from the sequel, which eventually led to his leaving the franchise.

He has also accused the actor and his family of sabotaging him professionally and branding them as ‘criminals’ in the process. However, Salman Khan has kept a dignified silence on the matter till now.

In the Bigg Boss 19 episode, he not only addressed Kashyap's comments but also questioned his professionalism by asking, "Kaam mila kya bhai?" (Did you get any work?) This direct question, in some ways, highlights the star's stance on the issue.

The rivalry has led Kashyap to lash out at various other personalities in Bollywood, among them Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. He singled out Shah Rukh Khan for having done nothing of note for Indian society, and he jokingly proposed that he vacate his palatial residence in Dubai, named ‘Jannat’, and go there instead.

These comments have added fuel to the fire of the controversy, further dragging Kashyap's already rough relationships in the industry into the limelight.
