New-Death-Threat-to-Salman-Khan-Revealed-as-Bid-for-Social-Media-FameSocial Media Fame Obsession Leads to Death Threat for Salman Khan, Investigators Find Man Mentally Unfit

The mystery behind the recent death threat to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has taken a sharp turn. Investigators have identified the sender as a 26-year-old resident of Waghodia taluka in Gujarat’s Vadodara district. Officials confirmed the man is mentally unstable and undergoing medical treatment.

Bomb Threat Sent via WhatsApp Triggers High Alert

The alarming message, received on April 13 by the Mumbai Traffic Police’s WhatsApp helpline, warned of a bomb in Khan’s car and a planned attack at his Bandra residence.

The Mumbai Police registered a case under Section 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and immediately stepped up security around the actor’s home.

Joint Investigation Leads to Confession

A joint effort between Mumbai and Waghodia police led to the identification of the sender, Mayank Pandya. Authorities visited his home, where his family confirmed his unstable mental condition.

He said he did so to increase his Instagram followers. Pandya received the official notice for appearance but because of his condition, no arrest was made.

Not the First Time: Previous Threats and Security Measures

This is not the first time Salman Khan has faced such danger. The actor remains under Y-Plus security following multiple threats, including those allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The gang has previously targeted Khan over the blackbuck case, even planning an attack during his visits to Panvel.

Shooting Outside Khan's Home and Unfolding Conspiracies

In April last year, unidentified shooters fired rounds outside Khan’s Galaxy Apartments residence. Weeks later, Navi Mumbai Police exposed a fresh plot linked to the same gang.

These repeated threats have kept the security forces on alert, especially after the latest twist involving a mentally ill individual seeking online attention.

Pressure from Social Media and Public Responsibility

The current case brings attention not only to celebrity security but also to the dark impact of social media pressure. Authorities continue to handle the matter with care, balancing legal procedures with mental health concerns.

The incident adds to the growing list of online death threats turning into real-world risks, raising serious questions about digital safety and public responsibility.

No Arrest So Far, but Security Continues to Tighten

Though no arrests were made, the Mumbai police are keeping a close watch on developments. Now, attention will turn to ensuring that security continues to be kept up for Salman Khan while at the same time curbing the increasingly popular misuse of digital platforms for viral attention.
