Bastian Restaurant Finally Shuts Down

Bastian Bandra, a popular restaurant situated in Bandra, Mumbai, is known for its modern multi-level interiors and delicious seafood. The restaurant was a general destination for celebrities in Mumbai for over a decade.

The actress has shared, “This Thursday marks the end of an era as we bid farewell to one of Mumbai’s most iconic destinations — BASTIAN BANDRA.” It was “a venue that gave us countless memories, unforgettable nights, and moments that shaped the city’s nightlife, now it takes its final blow.” She further shared that Bastian at the Top restaurant at Dadar, Mumbai, will still operate.

What is the Rs. 60 Crore Fraud Case?

Director of Lotus Capital Financial Services Ltd. Deepak Kothari accused the famous couple of a Rs. 60 crore fraud. Kothari said that they took money to expand their business, but used it for personal reasons.

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s lawyer, Prashant Patil, while addressing Asian News International (ANI), refused these allegations, saying, “All allegations are false. Register a five-wicket win. We have not received a copy of the FIR so far.”

Trying to tackle the allegations logically, he said, “When we receive a copy, we will learn the exact allegations. On that basis, we will adopt the next legal remedy. But this transaction is quite old, 7 to 8 years old.”

He tried to dismiss the entire case by saying, “If someone feels that they have been wronged or cheated, they would not wait 8-10 years to complain.”

Overall, Deepak Kothari filed a complaint against the celebrity couple for defrauding him of Rs. 60 crores, which resulted in the closure of Bastian Bandra. However, the other restaurant, Bastian at the Top, located in Dadar, is still functioning.
