Prabhas and Hanu Raghavapudi expand Fauzi into a two-part epic exploring India’s past

Mythri Movie Makers have made a big announcement, saying that Fauzi, featuring Prabhas, will be presented in two parts, adding a fresh layer of ambition to the project. The studio also mentioned that the second part will be a prequel, opening up the narrative even further. 

This kind of arrangement officially puts the franchise close to the major Indian film universes that rely on multi-part storytelling to explore and develop characters and historical contexts extensively.

A New Collaboration for Prabhas and Hanu Raghavapudi

The film marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and Sita Ramam director Hanu Raghavapudi. According to a press release, the story is set to be a fictionalized resetting of historical events, bringing together large-scale drama. and emotional depth.

Director Reveals Vision for the Prequel

Raghavapudi shared key insights into the project, confirming that the second part will “explore another dimension” with “plenty to explore from India's colonial past.” He elaborated in a statement, saying, “We're portraying one world of Prabhas in this movie, and the second installment will explore another dimension. There's abundant material from our colonial past — stories that ended tragically but could've been fairy tales in another reality. I've also woven in a few real-life experiences that inspired me personally.”
