Former PR Manager Vipin Kumar Accused Unni Mukundan of Physically Assaulting Him, Shares Evidence

A physical assault case has been filed against the Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan. The Kakkanad Judicial First Class Magistrate Court in Kerala has ordered the actor to appear for the court hearing. Vipin Kumar, Unni Mukundan’s former PR Manager, filed the case. However, the actor refuses the accusations.


What are the Accusations Made by Vipin Kumar?

The Kerala court summoned Unni Mukundan after police successfully collected a 10-minute video evidence, found in CCTV footage. Several witnesses also came forward to record their statements in support of Vipin's accusations. Unni’s mobile tower location data is one of the key pieces of evidence pointing to the crime.

The charge sheet was filed under the following sections: 115(2), 126(2), 296(B), 351(2), and 324(4). These sections denote offenses like trespassing with the intent to cause harm, making life threats, damaging property, and verbal abuse. However, these charges are bailable.

Unni Mukundan Discards all Charges

Unni Mukundan recently conducted a press conference after Vipin Kumar’s accusations, where the actor denied all the charges. He even went as far as to say that he would leave his acting career if the charges were proven to be true.

He said, “This is not a case of assault. There was no physical violence," adding, "As a friend, I only wanted to confront Vipin about why he was speaking negatively about me. During the heated exchange, I did throw his sunglasses - that is true. But there was no physical contact.”

This entire issue was presented in front of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) and the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA). They held joint discussions with both Vipin Kumar and Unni Mukundan. However, based on the evidence brought up by Vipin, the actors’ claims in the press conference turned out to be false.

AMMA and FEFKA have promised not to intervene in the legal proceedings carried out by the court and the police. Regarding the different evidence presented so far, the truth is on Vipin Kumar's side. Nevertheless, the final judgement has not been passed yet.
