Kerala Police Register Sexual Harassment Case Against Manjummel Boys Director Chidambaram S Poduval Following Industry Woman’s Complaint

The Kerala police have filed a criminal case against director Chidambaram S. Poduval, known for the hit film Manjummel Boys. A woman in the film industry reported an incident allegedly occurring in 2022 at her apartment in Kochi. The Ernakulam Town South police recorded her statement and subsequently registered a First Information Report (FIR) against him.

The police report states that Chidambaram entered the house without permission. The woman claims he behaved in a sexually inappropriate manner and attempted to outrage her modesty. As a result, the police charged him under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code, which addresses assault against women. 

Officers have assured that a fair investigation into the matter will be conducted. They will soon send a notice to the director, requiring him to come to the police station for questioning so he can present his side of the story.
