Via social networking platforms, Cheuko addressed himself to Paul, claiming he acted out of fear in making up his mind. "Paul, respectfully, your explanation of WWE commitments is insufficient."

Clearly, you were afraid," Cheuko insisted in a video message. "Two months ago, when you wanted to challenge a football player in a physical fight, you did not mention your association with WWE. Now that the possibility of a fight has arisen, you are offering explanations. Honestly, spurning a US$15 million offer is baffling. Moreover, your claims about commitment are suspect."
