Shivam Mishra Arrested, Police Confirm

Kanpur Police confirmed the arrest of Shivam Mishra on Tuesday. DCP Atul Srivastava said, “Shivam Mishra has been arrested, and he will now be presented in the court. Claims, Videos, and Medical Angle Probed

Witnesses described a violent impact that threw a rider several feet into the air. Videos circulating online appear to show security personnel extracting Mishra from the driver’s seat. Police said alcohol tests and forensic reports will guide conclusions.

Officials are also examining claims of a medical condition, while Mishra’s family cited a seizure, and his lawyer claimed a chauffeur was driving.

Conclusion: Accountability Under Public Lens

The investigation of high-profile crash cases that occurred in Kanpur and other cities raised questions about both procedural matters and possible external influences. The local police chief's suspension occurred because of his alleged failure to perform his duties, which now requires an investigation to be conducted in an open manner.
The case matters due to injuries, public safety risks, and prior scrutiny of the business group. Clear findings and timely court proceedings may shape trust in enforcement outcomes.
