Many iPhone 17 owners turned to Reddit to discuss the Wi-Fi issue with their Apple phones. Most comments read that the Wi-Fi automatically disconnects when the user tries to unlock the smartphone. The issue was first discussed by MacRumors.

A user named ‘r/tbone388’ reported that the Wi-Fi turned off when he unlocked the iPhone or swiped down on the lock screen. This can be problematic when running platforms like Apple CarPlay, which are largely dependent on Wi-Fi.

Another Reddit user shared their experience and said that disconnecting or locking the Apple Watch helped them solve the Wi-Fi issue. Other users responded to the comment, explaining that they are facing problems even without connecting to the Apple Watch. 

How to Solve iPhone 17 Series Wi-Fi Issues?

Apple has not yet officially responded to these issues. Nevertheless, users might be able to resolve this issue with the upcoming iOS 26.1 update that is currently available in the Beta version. However, iPhone owners are advised to familiarize themselves with the risks associated with testing a new operating system and then proceed with the process.
