India’s Series Win Against West Indies Pushes the Team’s Ranking on the Points Percentage Table

The Indian cricket team defeats the West Indies with a 2-0 series sweep, securing a third place on the World Test Championship Points Percentage (PCT) table. The WI players’ determination stretched the match to the 5th day; however, they lost the game at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday.

Though the match lasted for less than an hour, it was the first test cricket match between India and the West Indies since 2011 that lasted over five days.

India Lands the 3rd Position in WTC Standings


The Indian cricket team has solidified its position in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 standings by winning against the West Indies. This remarkable victory, secured after achieving a seven-wicket win in the second and final Test, has drastically increased India's percentage of points (PCT) to 61.90, which was very low in the past.

India now stands at the third position on the WTC points table, with a record of four wins, two losses, and one draw from the seven matches they have played in the current cycle. While the series sweep was not enough to raise team India's standings, the improved PCT has definitely pushed it closer to second place.

Australia and Sri Lanka Lead the WTC Table, West Indies Remain Winless


Australia currently leads the World Test Championship, maintaining a perfect PCT of 100. The team has won all three of its matches since the beginning of the 2025-27 WTC cycle. Sri Lanka, slightly ahead of India with a PCT of 66.67, is in second place with one win and one tie.

The West Indies are at the bottom of the table following their 2-0 series defeat against India. They stand in sixth position with a PCT of 0.00, having lost all five Tests they have played so far in this cycle.
