The Indian Air Force (IAF) made headlines with a dinner menu at its 93rd anniversary. The menu had dishes named after Pakistani cities that were targeted in past military operations. The menu quickly went viral on social media, with many praising its bold and creative idea.

The menu, called “93 Years of IAF: Infallible, Impervious and Precise,” had main dishes like Rawalpindi Chicken Tikka Masala, Rafiqui Rhara Mutton, Bholari Paneer Methi Malai, Sukkur Sham Savera Kofta, Sargodha Dal Makhani, Jacobabad Mewa Pulao, and Bahawalpur Naan.

Desserts included Balakot Tiramisu, Muzaffarabad Kulfi Faluda, and Muridke Meetha Pan. Each dish represented a city hit during Operation Sindoor in May 2025 and the Balakot airstrike in 2019.

Operation Sindoor targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and the areas of Kashmir under Pakistan’s control. Cities hit included Rawalakot, Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Bhimber, and Neelum Valley. The operation was in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, where 26 civilians were killed. It lasted four days and ended with both sides stopping the clashes.

Another significant incident was the Balakot airstrike, which was codenamed Operation Bandar and took place in February 2019. It was India’s retaliation against the Pulwama attack that claimed the lives of 40 men from the CRPF. Indian Air Force (IAF) jets destroyed a Jaish-e-Mohammed training camp in Balakot, showing India’s strong military precision.

Public and Political Reactions

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla shared the menu online. He said it shows India’s strong action against terrorism. The menu was praised by social media users, who referred to it as "Operation Sindoor: Taste Edition." Several memes, jokes, and humor blended with patriotism were shared on social media.
