The Actor’s Representatives Confirmed that He is Now Stable, and All Necessary Tests Have Been Completed
Bollywood actor Govinda was hospitalised in Mumbai after losing consciousness, just a day after visiting veteran star Dharmendra. The 61-year-old actor faced disorientation at his residence. His family and doctors are monitoring his condition closely.
Govinda Health Update
Actor Govinda was rushed to CritiCare Asia Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday (November 12, 2025). According to PTI, Govinda was hospitalised after losing consciousness.
Govinda's long-time friend and lawyer Lalit Bindal said that the actor had been experiencing discomfort before being rushed to the emergency department. Giving an update on Govinda's health, he said, “He was feeling disoriented. All tests are done, and we are now awaiting reports and the opinion of neuro consultation. He is stable now."
"Govinda is currently under observation. He is sleeping after taking medicines. Doctors are expected to review his condition around 12 noon, after which further decisions will be taken. His medical tests are still going on," he added.
Bindal also informed that Govinda was given medicine upon a telephonic consultation before he was rushed to the hospital at 1 am.
Govinda's hospitalisation comes just a day after he visited actor Dharmendra, who was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital. In a video, he was seen exiting the hospital with a grim expression on his face.
The actor’s recent hospital admission has raised concerns among fans and colleagues, but his representatives confirm that he is receiving appropriate care as doctors.
Govinda Bullet Injury
This is the second time that Govinda has been hospitalised within a year. The actor met with an accident last October. According to the Mumbai Police, Govinda was preparing to leave for Kolkata and was putting his revolver back in the cupboard when it accidentally discharged. The incident took place at approximately 4:45 am.
Govinda was discharged from the hospital three days after the incident. He greeted media persons and fans with folded hands and told reporters, "I was about to leave for a show in Kolkata. It was about 5 in the morning. Aur uss time par vo giri aur chal padi (and it just fell and went off). I was shocked by what happened, and when I looked down, I saw a fountain of blood. Then I made a video and spoke to the doctor and got admitted".
Govinda has also delivered memorable performances in diverse roles in his more than 3 decades of career. His last Bollywood film was Rangeela Raja, which was released in 2019.
