In a recent Instagram post, Amitabh Bachchan stirred controversy by discussing Tesla, suggesting that Elon Musk’s company may not come to India. 
 
The post featured a video showcasing a man who created a bike powered by solar energy. This innovative vehicle can carry up to seven people and travel a distance of up to 200 kilometers. Remarkably, it was constructed entirely from scrap materials and cost him approximately 8,000 to 10,000 rupees.

 

How it All started

 

The controversy emerged when Bachchan tweeted, “Tesla decided not to come to India after seeing this,” emphasizing the innovative, low-cost solution and praising the creativity of India’s young minds. However, he later clarified in the caption that he was merely sharing a video sent to him by a friend.

Once the video was uploaded from his account, a lot of quirky yet positive comments flooded, saying, “Why fun element? It has innovation, economics, and village transportation. Thank you for sharing the video, sir." Where the other comment says, “India hai bhai kuchh bhi kar sakte hai.” On the other hand, people have mocked Elon Musk, saying, “Elon Musk, don’t copy this.”

Amitabh Bachchan's sharing of such videos will greatly benefit younger individuals and hidden talents, encouraging them to step out of their shells and showcase their skills. This also demonstrates his motivation and support for young talent, as well as the Make in India initiative, which he referenced in a previous post with a sarcastic note.

 

Tesla’s new interest

 

Tesla is moving closer to launching operations in India. After searching for talent in the country, the company is now looking for land to establish its first factory. Sources indicate that Maharashtra is the most preferred location for this new facility.
 
Following a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tesla posted job openings on LinkedIn for positions in Mumbai and New Delhi. These job postings include roles in service, sales, and customer care, suggesting that Elon Musk intends to open showrooms in India soon.
