Hurun India Rich List for 2025 was released today, 1 October 2025. The list shows that Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has entered the billionaire club, becoming the richest actor in the world. He has been listed in this list for the first time. The list was published by the Hurun Research Institute, which evaluates the wealth of celebrities in India. This institute has been publishing the list since 2013, evaluating the wealth of celebrities across various industries.

Shah Rukh Khan Joins  the Billionaire Club

According to the Hurun India Rich List 2025, Shah Rukh Khan has entered the billionaire club with a net worth of Rs. Rs. 12,490 crore, making him the wealthiest actor not just in Bollywood, but across the world. His wealth mainly comes from his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, and his stake in the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders.

Hurun India Rich List also includes celebrities like Juhi Chawla, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Karan Johar. Though these celebrities are not billionaires, they have topped the list of richest Bollywood celebrities after Shah Rukh Khan.

Who Topped the Hurun India Rich List 2025?

Coming out of Bollywood, Mukesh Ambani and his family have again topped the Hurun India Rich List of 2025. The family amasses a staggering net worth of Rs. 9.55 lakh crores. Following the Ambani family, Gautam Adani is ranked the second-wealthiest person with a net worth of Rs. 8.15 lakh crores.

The Rise of Indian Billionaires

The report published by Hurun Research Institute also shows the growth of billionaires in India. The institute has been publishing this list since 2013, when there were just around 60 billionaires in the country.

However, presently, the billionaire count has surpassed 350. It is reported that these 350 people amass wealth equivalent to half of India’s GDP. Mumbai is home to most of these wealthy people; New Delhi and Bangalore follow after.

To sum up, Shah Rukh Khan's entry into the billionaire club shows that celebrities are also giving tough competition to top businesses. Though the romance king is involved with his business ventures, his main source of income has been acting for the past three decades.
