Hrithik Vs. Jr. NTR: War 2 Trailer Drops Next Week With High-Octane Spy Showdown

One of the biggest Bollywood movies of 2025 is finally upon us, and the countdown has begun. Moviegoers everywhere will soon be able to see the official trailer for War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr.NTR, which is finally being released after months of ambiguity.

Yash Raj Films (YRF) and director Ayan Mukerji have approved the final cut, preparing to introduce the audience to an action-spy thriller that will redefine the standards of action films in India.

The movie is set for release on August 14, and with the trailer now available, it has fans going wild with the very first images of the harrowing tussle between Hrithik's rogue agent Kabir and Jr.NTR's scary operative Vikram.

Promotional Blackout Policy: They Won't Be There Together

YRF has now made the refined decision to keep Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR apart for the promotional events ahead. So not only will the promotional events be different from the cast of Bollywood movies events, where all actors do media and public events together, they won't be on the same stage, giving joint interviews in media or promoting the film together.

This extends to not doing any joint promotions. YRF did this in War (2019) with Hrithik and Tiger Shroff when the actors worked with the relationship maintained as an off-screen mentor-protege dynamic.. A production source said, The Hrithik vs Jr. NTR event is a once-in-a-lifetime cinematic event.

Six Action Sequences in WAR 2

For the uninitiated, War 2 features six large-scale action sequences shot at different locations worldwide and is one of the biggest feature films in Indian cinema. Besides these set pieces, the YRF crew also shot two song numbers.

There is a romantic number between Hrithik and Kiara, and there's also a face-off between Hrithik Roshan and Jr.NTR. Pritam has composed the music for War 2.

With the release date for the trailer fast approaching, the anticipation for War 2 has never been greater because the movie will further YRF's Spy Universe. War 2 unites two of the biggest stars in India for a monumental showdown that will surely be bigger, bolder, and more brutal than any of the prequels’ collaborations.
