Aditya Dhar’s spy-thriller Dhurandhar, which features Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Rakesh BediRanveer Singh, in the lead roles, has made history by crossing the 1000 crore mark globally.

The film, co-produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, stands at a worldwide collection of Rs. 1006.7 crore on Day 21, despite facing strong competition from Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri (TMMTMTTM).

Massive Christmas Surge Boosts Collections

Dhurandhar saw a huge rise in ticket sales on Christmas. The movie earned Rs. 26 crore in India on its twenty-first day, which was a 44% increase from the previous day. This is quite rare for a film in its third week. The holiday spirit helped the movie regain its speed at the box office. Its total collection in India has now reached Rs. 668.80 crore.

Globally, the film has crossed the Rs. 1,000 crore mark and has earned a total of Rs. 1,006.7 crore so far. This shows that the movie is still very popular with the public.  This surge marks a rare cultural saturation point for Indian cinema. Most films fade when new holiday movies arrive. However, Dhurandhar became the main event for Christmas 2025.

Dhurandhar Outshines Competition and Previous Records

This film has broken many old box office records in India by surpassing the total earnings of hits like Animal and Jawan. It is now the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025. The movie stayed at the top even against new Hollywood and local films.

Ranveer Singh’s film set a new record for the best third week. It did this despite having an A-rating for mature audiences. This shows that adult-themed films can still be massive global hits. The movie is still performing well in both small cities and big malls. It is now entering its fourth week with very strong numbers.

Past hits have often used impossible stunts to win fans over. However, Dhurandhar succeeded by making high-stakes spy work feel gritty and real. It suggests that fans now prefer vulnerable professionals over invincible superheroes. This change will likely force future directors to focus more on tactical detail than just big explosions.
