Rajinikanth Loses Top Spot as Dhurandhar Becomes Highest-Grossing Hindi Film Globally in Two Weeks
Aditya Dhar’s spy drama ‘Dhurandhar’ hit theaters on December 5 and has been running well since then. The film has now broken the record for Rajinikanth’s top-grossing movie, 2.0, collecting almost Rs. 480 crores in India alone and over Rs. 700 crores globally in only two weeks.
Global Box Office Collections
The producers of Dhurandhar, Jio Studios, informed that the film's domestic and overseas box office collections are now at Rs. 479.50 crore net in just the last fortnight.
The film amassed Rs. 218 crore in its first week, surpassing its previous opening-week collections.
The collections made on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday were Rs. 34.70 crore, Rs. 53.70 crore, Rs. 58.20 crore, Rs. 31.80 crore, Rs. 32.10 crore, and Rs. 25.70 crore, respectively.

Dhurandhar was written, directed, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar. The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios and Aditya and Lokesh Dhar of B62 Studios. The main star cast includes Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh.
The first part of the two-part series introduces Hamza Ali Mazari, who turns out to be Jaskirat Singh Rangi, as he enters a Baloch gang in Pakistan. The second part is expected to be released on March 19, 2026.
Comparison Hindi films' table-topper is Dhurandhar, with an unbelievable second-week performance of collecting a staggering amount of Rs. 261.50 crore. Others are Pushpa 2 (Hindi) with a collection of Rs. 199 crore, Chhaava with Rs. 186.18 crores, and Stree 2 with Rs. 145.80 crore.

Despite increased competition from international releases, Dhurandhar’s run through Day 14 underscores its blockbuster status, establishing new benchmarks for Hindi cinema in both second‑week performance and total global earnings, a remarkable feat for a film in the competitive year of 2025.
