Microsoft Azure is helping Zeti to revolutionize transport finance with low-carbon vehicles.
UK-based Zeti is a startup with a huge ambition: it aims to revolutionize transport finance for good. By connecting fleet operators with institutional financiers through its proprietary FinTech platform, Zeti supports the transition to no-carbon and ultra-low carbon vehicles in a simple and affordable way with pay-per-mile vehicle finance. “When it comes to building a secure, scalable technology to build our platform on, Microsoft Azure is perfect,” says Daniel Bass, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Zeti. “Microsoft’s commitment to carbon-negative, water-positive, and zero-waste operations means it is a partner we can be proud of.” Bass continues, “I personally have a strong preference for serverless technology and Microsoft’s offering is really strong. It allows you to keep your bill very restrained in the early days of a start-up and the early days of a cloud-native company.
The tools to give customers what they need
Zeti’s data platform provides essential insights for investors and for its end customers, including fleet managers. Chelsea Dowling, Head of Operations at Zeti, explains, “The dashboard we provide is very important to them; they are very interested in analyzing their pay-per-mile billing. It’s all powered by data and it’s super-exciting for them.” “We take 600,000 rows of data each day from all our telematics APIs, and we can feed that straight into our Power BI dashboards,” explains Pavundeep Johal, Operations Analyst at Zeti. “It allows us to generate really valuable insights.” Since its founding, Zeti has helped its customers to avoid nearly 8,000kgs of nitrous oxide into the atmosphere and the avoidance of nearly three million kilograms of carbon. “This is great for investors wanting to demonstrate the positive environmental impact of their funds,” says Dan Saunders, Founder, and CEO at Zeti. “Microsoft Azure is the perfect partner to support our ambitions, it’s the best platform for our business to achieve growth and contribute to cleaner air and a healthier planet.”
