Prime Minister Narendra Modi Speaks to Saudi and Bahrain Leaders After First Indian Casualty Confirmed in Deepening Iran-Israel Conflict

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had discussions with leaders from the Gulf region, specifically the King of Bahrain and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. These talks were prompted by the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel. 

Modi had a deep worry for the safety of Indians living in these places. He thanked the leaders for looking after the Indian community in this crisis. He also spoke against the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Modi said that regional peace must return very quickly to help every person.

This move came as the first Indian death was confirmed in the fight. The Indian Embassy in Oman shared this sad news on Monday night. An Indian sailor died on the oil tanker called MKD Vyom. A boat with explosives hit the tanker northwest of Sultan Qaboos Port.

The hit caused a big fire on the boat. Omani officials helped to save the rest of the crew members. The embassy is now working to bring the body of the sailor back to India. They are also talking to local people to keep other sailors safe.

The situation is very tight for over eight million Indians in West Asia. Another ship, MV Skylight, also had big trouble lately. Some crew members from that ship are still missing. Search teams are looking for them in the big sea right now. 

The Indian government is in steady touch with officials in Oman. PM Modi told the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia that India stands with them. He said the violation of land is a very serious matter for him.
