NEW YORK – January 2022 - Doodle Labs Corp, the non-fungible token (NFT) company dedicated to bringing established artists and brands to the blockchain in an authentic manner, has announced their partnership with masterful artist James Marshall, AKA "Dalek" and prolific artist duo Generative Artworks. Dalek is well known for his graffiti art, murals, illustrations, and most notably, the iconic Space Monkey character.
This latest project continues Doodle Labs' commitment to bringing artists and brands to the blockchain and showcasing their work to the public. The project NEOGEN SPACE MONKEYS, revolves around freedom of movement and the collaboration is set to drop on www.doodlelabs.io in February.
"We are all inspired by the potential of this space to write the rules as we go," said Dalek. "To constantly push the boundaries and create art in a new space that is full of opportunities is very exciting. We are eager to share what we have created with the world and look forward to the endless potential moving forward."
The attraction to create this project was based on the idea of bringing two very different worlds together into the NFT community. The collaboration with Generative Artworks, an artistic duo based in New York, which produces incredible art with code, has resulted in a natural synergy in which parties with different skill sets worked together in balance to create a unique project.
"We're constantly seeking innovative ways to not only inspire but empower collectors," said Matthew Dweck, Founder of Doodle Labs. "Our collaborations derive from our mission to deliver authentic and engaging experiences to a broader audience."
Drawing inspiration from modern art and generated at random, generative art is a form of digital art made with code. Each NFT is created by an algorithm at the time of purchase, while purchasers generally know the style of the project they're buying, a unique iteration is created for them at the time of minting. This is referred to as "1-of-1-of-X", meaning the purchasers will own a one-of-a-kind work of art within the collection.
Doodle Labs has been at the forefront in creating experiences and interactions with the best artists and brands on the blockchain via art-driven collectibles. Through their upcoming collaborations, they aim to continue pushing the limits in the digital world.
