Masaki Koyama, a 38-year old man, injured around 14 people at a tire factory in Mishima city, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The attacker reportedly used a knife and liquid spray to harm the people. The emergency response began quickly after a call at 4:30 p.m. from a Yokohama Rubber factory. Local authorities sent many ambulances to the Mishima site. Fire official Tomoharu Sugiyama stated, "Fourteen people are subject to transportation by emergency services." Initial reports said several workers were stabbed. Medical teams treated 15 people in total. Eight victims suffered from knife wounds. Seven others were hurt by a chemical spray, whereas five people were in serious condition.
