New Alibaba Group CEO Eddie Wu has instructed colleagues that the internet giant's two key strategic goals moving ahead would be "user first" and "AI-driven."
Wu, who issued the letter on his third day as CEO, also stated that Alibaba will prioritize elevating young workers, notably those born after 1985.
This would help the organization maintain a "start-up mindset" and keep it from being "stuck in our old ways," he added.
CEO Jack Ma is spelling out his strategic goals at a critical juncture for Alibaba, which is undergoing the most significant organizational reorganization in its 24-year existence.
Late on Sunday, Alibaba also announced that Wu will take over as CEO of its cloud computing division, succeeding Daniel Zhang.
