For the first time in the UK, surgeons utilized Apple's new virtual reality spectacles to assist them perform surgery.

A team from the exclusive Cromwell Hospital in London utilized a £2,700 Vision Pro headset to restore a male patient's spine.

A scrub nurse who worked alongside the surgeon donned the gadget to aid prepare, keeping track of the surgery, and choosing the appropriate instruments.

The technology allowed users to see the actual environment while superimposing virtual panels in front of them.

Two NHS trusts are already in negotiations with Exex, the US company behind the AI software, about potentially employing it.
