The United Kingdom has announced intentions to invest more than £100 million ($125 million) in AI research and training.
According to the proposals revealed on Tuesday, the government would establish nine new AI research hubs around the UK.
Fund research projects investigating the responsible use of AI in education, policing, and the creative industries, and teach regulators.
Michelle Donelan stated that AI has the potential to "transform our public services and the economy for the better" as well as provide therapies for ailments such as cancer and dementia.
AI is going quickly, but we have demonstrated that humans can move just as fast. Donelan said in a statement.
