UAE Cybersecurity Warns Android Users About Data Leaks

The UAE Cybersecurity Council has issued a notice to Android users, encouraging them to update the software on their phones to avoid data leaks.

In a post on X, the authority alerted users about "high-risk vulnerabilities" discovered on Android devices and stated that Google has issued patches to address these flaws.

The risks of not upgrading include data loss, information theft, and harmful software operating on your phone without your awareness and taking control of it.

The council has classified Android versions 11, 12, 12L, 13, and 14 as being susceptible to this issue.

Earlier, in December 2023, the council issued a similar caution to Apple customers, advising them to upgrade their software.
