Siri May Receive ChatGPT Upgrade in Apple's iOS 18
Despite being an early entrant in the digital assistant competition with Siri's 2011 launch, Apple has lagged behind competitors such as Google, Microsoft, and even OpenAI.
However, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, in the most recent issue of his newsletter, Power On, suggests that Siri may soon gain some intelligence.
Gurman argues in his newsletter that Apple is preparing to improve Siri with an advanced language model.
Gurman believes Apple will use its huge language models running on high-end Mac CPUs in its data centers to improve Siri's conversational abilities.
This cloud-based AI processing will enable Siri to have more natural, contextual discussions with people.
