Meta Under EU Scrutiny for Using Personal Data in AI Model Training
Meta's plans to advance its artificial intelligence (AI) goals are encountering new obstacles, and once again, the European Union (EU) is at the center of the issue.
On Thursday, eleven complaints were lodged against Meta (formerly known as Facebook) in various European nations over its proposed alterations.
The advocacy group NOYB initiated these complaints and has urged national privacy authorities to act swiftly to prevent Meta from exploiting years of personal posts.
NOYB expressed concerns regarding the recent updates to Meta's privacy policy, which are scheduled to go into effect on June 26.
These complaints were lodged in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, and Spain.
