Apple Unveils OpenELM Series for Small On-Device Tasks

It has lately been in negotiations with Google and OpenAI about a potential arrangement that would allow its AI models to be used on iPhones.
Apple researchers have now released a family of four lightweight AI models based on the Hugging Face model library.
The model can operate on-device, indicating that it will be used in the future on devices such as the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
