Amazon Fails in Court Battle to Halt Implementation of EU Tech Rules and Clause
Amazon lost its bid to postpone a need for online advertising under EU tech laws on Wednesday when Europe's top court sided with EU regulators.
Under the Digital Services Act (DSA) Amazon was categorized as a very big online platform subject to strict requirements to combat unlawful and harmful information on its site.
The corporation then disputed a DSA demand to make a repository holding specific information about its online advertising.
In September, a lower tribunal granted its plea for an interim measure suspending the contentious duty, prompting the European Commission to move to Europe's highest court.
The Luxembourg-based Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) overturned the suspension judgment and denied Aamzon's request for an interim remedy.
