In 2020, Ford recalled 488,000 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX vehicles in the US for brake hose failures
The US auto safety regulator said that it was investigating 368,309 Ford crossover SUVs in the country. The investigation was conducted due to a brake failure caused by a rear brake hose failure.
The complaints also allege that the brake failure happens suddenly without any warning and leads to an increased stopping distance, the NHTSA said.
The preliminary evaluation covers a few Ford Edge crossover vehicles from the years 2015 to 2017, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.

Moreover, the automobile company, Tesla has also announced plans to rework on the cybertrucks in the US due to delays in the rear-camera images.
The cybertrucks in the US potentially reduced the visibility of drivers to see behind them and raised the chances of accidents. The company also mentioned that a software update would fix the problem.
Over 27,000 Cybertrucks Recalled
As mentioned by Tesla in a report filed with the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recall involves over 27,000 Cybertrucks.
While taking the vehicle in reverse, the image does not appear within two seconds and the rear-view camera display might go blank for six to eight seconds, the company said.
The auto safety regulator said Tesla’s 2021 recall of nearly 135,000 cars seems to tackle the danger posed by the malfunction of a media control unit.
