“Track Your Call History!” A Future WhatsApp Desktop Release

The new WhatsApp desktop release will help users to trace missed out WhatsApp calls efficiently

Meta-owned WhatsApp is rolling out several features to constantly develop and advance the growth of its revenue. The big tech giant keeps bringing new features to improve the application experience for its users. The New WhatsApp desktop release will enable users with the ability to track call history within its desktop application. The platform has released the beta version for Windows 2.2246.4.0 update on the Microsoft Store which brings the ability to manage call history within the desktop application itself.

A report says that a new calls tab will open up whenever a user opens WhatsApp. In this tab, users can see the list of their call history within the WhatsApp desktop app. They will also be able to access information about the call by opening the calling card. However, the calls placed from the native desktop app may not show up on the one, but the company will soon release an update stating clearing up how the features work instantly.

The calls tab within the app sidebar has been released to some beta testers after installing the WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2246.4.0 update from the Microsoft store. It is most likely to be available to beta testers in the next couple of months.

Besides these, WhatsApp is working on a new feature for its desktop users. This other feature is known as the Screen Lock, which will ask for a password every time any user opens the application. It will bring an additional layer of security to WhatsApp and protect against unauthorized access when the user is not using his/her device. Based on WhatsApp’s report, the feature is currently under development and is expected to be released to some beta testers in the future.
