Times are heavy for India. The country is now recording the world’s highest number of daily cases that injects terror, unprecedented. 2021 has recorded 25,772,440 cases of the virus. Hospitals continue to face crowd inflation and proper patient care facilities are going down the hill. Indian Companies and young Indian startups are stepping forward to make a significant change in disturbing times.

Dr VDr Paul, a member of NITI Ayog observes that people will soon have to put on masks even during house arrests. While the Indian government is being extremely scrupulous with proper vaccination and medication, Indian companies and startups have also stepped in to help India beat COVID-19.

Five Indian Companies that are Standing by India in the Battle Against COVID-19

The TATA Group 

Reportedly, the TATA group has poured 2,000 cr in the “no limit” initiative. The TATA group is contributing to building a Covid critical care infrastructure by spewing massive funds and resources. These resources and funds are aimed at setting up an adequate number of beds for Covid patients, arranging oxygen, along with training the healthcare staff. To achieve this, the group has also collaborated with the Christian Medical College in Vellore and started healthcare training programs for the volunteers. The group has also tied up with vaccine manufacturers.

Reliance Foundation

On April 26, 2021, it came out that the Reliance Foundation made some major contributions to help in India’s fight against Covid. The foundation provided 875 beds in the hospitals in Mumbai. This number includes 145 intense care unit (ICU) beds across NSCI, Seven hills hospital, and the Trident, BKC. The services will be free for the underprivileged.

Bajaj Finserve 

Bajaj Finserve pledges to assist the families of the employees who lost the battle of Covid. In this perspective, the company has launched a comprehensive family assistance program to extend support to such families. This program includes education support for the children till their graduation and granting medical expenses coverage to the families.

DB Schenker 

DB Schenker partners up with NGOs to set up an oxygen plant in the hospitals across Delhi. This oxygen plant will assist in doubling the number of beds in ICU. Additionally, the company also provides health insurance cover to all the employees.

Cashaa 

Cashaa describes itself as a crypto-friendly neo-banking group that has announced an initiative named “Crypto for Covid”. This initiative aims to form a community of crypto enthusiasts who can adopt Covid-stricken underprivileged families to foster them with food, education, and medical supplies.

Successful in achieving the desired end to help the economically disadvantaged families during the pandemic, at least 1000 families are currently operating on resources and funding provided by their adopters.
