Hollywood heartbreak: Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz end relationship and engagement after three years together, shocking fans and friends alike

Hollywood's brightest stars Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz have reportedly split, calling it quits on a three-year relationship and engagement. The news of the breakup comes just a month after they announced an engagement and fans were reeling from the surprise. Sources close to the couple have confirmed to PEOPLE magazine that Tatum and Kravitz have gone their separate ways, a marked break from their dedication on both their personal and professional fronts.

The two were spotted even as recently as October 6 at a play in Brooklyn that starred in Blink Twice, Levon Hawke. However, Kravitz was not wearing her engagement ring, which made people assume that there was something wrong with the relationship within the first few weeks. The couple was rumoured to have started dating in January 2021 during Blink Twice, Kravitz’s feature directorial debut.

Although the pair were often snapped together, their love affair was quite discreet. An inside look into Tatum’s relationship started in early November 2021 when he posted various Halloween photos of the couple’s costumes as the two portrayed Taxi Driver. Both actors talked about it in the interview in February of 2022 but they were careful to avoid getting too personal regarding their relationship.

However, on Blink Twice premiere in 2023, their relationship looked strong as the couple graced the red carpet together.  Speaking about the experience, Tatum said, “To get to create something with someone that you love is probably one of the most gratifying things,” while Kravitz echoed similar sentiments about the beauty of their collaboration and support for each other.

Moreover, fans viewed their engagement announcement just two months later as a natural next step for the couple. But after Kravitz was spotted without her engagement ring on her finger raised some concern, and rumours of separation stayed afloat until the news of the breakup arrived.

The love affair was eventually acknowledged when Kravitz's ex-boyfriend and former stepfather, Jason Momoa, did in an interview at the Batman’s premiere. He approved of Tatum, saying, “He’s wonderful.” She’s a big girl.”

However, their work commitments stay put as the pair was recently cast in Alpha Gang, the new alien invasion comedy of Cate Blanchett. In the movie, Channing Tatum and Kravitz play the lead. However, as they break up, fans can expect to see them together on the silver screen soon.
