Telegram Messenger can now turn personal accounts into business profiles in a key part of Telegram business. Regarding this, Pavel Durov, who created the service across the platform, said that Telegram now come up with an AI chatbot.
“This week we launched the first batch of Telegram Business features. Users can now convert their personal Telegram accounts into business accounts. This will allow them to add their location and opening hours, organize chats with color-coded tags, use an automatic greeting or unanswerable messages, as well as templates for quick replies” Durov said in a message.
In addition to this, Durov announced new functionality, one of which “will change the way users interact with chatbots”. Telegram business account owners can use chatbots as “invisible secretaries”, taking automation to new heights thanks to artificial intelligence-based technology. Notably, the new Bot API will be available free to them later this month.
In addition to this, Durov promised that more exciting features for marketers and developers will appear on Telegram during the year. Let’s also remember that late last month, Durov announced a channel monetization feature. As part of this new feature, public Telegram channel owners will receive up to 50% of the revenue generated by the platform for displaying ads on their channels.
Rewards will be paid in Toncoin cryptocurrency, which can be cashed in or out to enter new developments. Telegram is a cloud-based, cross-platform, and encrypted instant messaging platform accessible to people all over the world. As of last year, 800 million monthly users were reported.
The Telegram ad platform will be available to advertisers in about 100 new countries this month. Channel owners will get 50% of the revenue earned by Telegram in these countries through channel advertising. The platform plans to facilitate advertising payments and withdrawals primarily through TON, the native cryptocurrency of The Open Network blockchain.
Pavel Durov recently announced plans to manage Telegram's TON assets by selling excess stock to long-term investors to prevent TON from potentially diluting its holdings. Subsequently, venture capital firm Mirana Ventures partnered with TON Blockchain to purchase TON on the secondary market for $8 million.
Telegram's recent growth, global advertising expansion, and strategic use of cryptocurrency programs underscore its commitment to innovation and set its course as an accessible and easy-to-use application in the evolving digital landscape.
