Google and Meta to Partner with Reliance Industries for AI & Superintelligence Projects
The Annual General Meeting at Reliance Industries has been trending not just in India but all over the world. Google and Meta have announced their partnership with Reliance Industries, with the vision of making powerful Superintelligence models accessible to every Indian. Several key elements regarding the future of artificial intelligence in India were discussed during the meeting.
What is the Vision of Superintelligence?
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg discussed his vision of “personal superintelligence for everyone.” He intends to use open-source AI models to realize this vision.
He said, “We are seeing glimpses of our AI systems starting to improve themselves. And it seems clear that superintelligence will greatly improve our existing systems and let us build things that we can’t even imagine today.” He further added, “At Meta, we want to deliver personal superintelligence to everyone.”
Emphasizing strong belief in his vision, he said the company believed that this technology has the potential to bring a new era of personal empowerment to people, so that they have greater agency to improve the world in all of the directions that they choose.
Zuckerberg also said that superintelligence is an important step toward making AI accessible to everyone. He said that Meta and Reliance Industries will make AI models available to businesses in India to help them grow even faster.
Tech Giants Team Up with Telecom Giant for Superintelligence
Sundar Pichai, Google's CEO, assured the company's commitment to India’s digital future. He said, “India is a special place for Google. It is home to some of the world’s most dynamic businesses, a thriving start-up ecosystem, and incredible creativity and ambition.”
He further added, “We have long been investing in India’s digital future. And our partnership with Reliance and Jio has been an important part of how we do that. Our work together over the last decade has helped bring millions affordable internet access, helping power India’s digital revolution.”
Google CEO also said that this AI partnership intends to transform all industries and organisations in India. He also added that companies are now developing cloud regions in Jamnagar.
Overall, Meta and Google's vision of making superintelligence models accessible to the general public will give people powerful capabilities and make their work more efficient. Zuckerberg is thinking of open-sourcing AI models to achieve this. Besides, Pichai has announced a Google Cloud region in Jamnagar to support Indian businesses.
