Share Market Today: NIFTY 50 Losing Over 100 Points and SENSEX Slips Down Over 400 Points

Share Market Update: NIFTY 50 Drops By 0.61% and SENSEX by 0.64%; Automobile and FMCG Stocks Leading with Gains

The benchmark Indian Stock Market indices continued their downward trend on Thursday as well with the investors remaining worried about the Q3 corporate earnings. The Sensex closed around 78148.49 and is currently trading at 77658 which is about a 0.64% downward fall. The NIFTY 50 closed at 23688.95 and is currently trading at 23,540.60 which is nearly a 0.61% decline from its previous closing.

This dip today is due to concerns about the weak profit growth in the third quarter. The TCS is set to start their Q3 earnings session today with analysts predicting a slight slow growth pace compared to the previous quarter. Also, companies like the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency, Tata Elxsi, and Vivo Bio Tech will be reporting their financial results for the September and December 2024 period. The experts have suggested that TCS’s performance will provide insights into the IT sector and align with the strong US economy and a weaker rupee potentially benefiting the IT company. Moreover, the foreign capital outflows added more than Rs 3362 core worth of shares yesterday taking January’s total Rs 11932.
