SigniFlow AmericasSigniFlow Americas was founded in 2018 after its CEO, Laila Robak, negotiated the exclusive trade rights to the SigniFlow technology in the American Continent. SigniFlow™ is a digital signature workflow engine that enhances and fully digitizes any process that requires an electronic document to be legally signed. It is one of the most flexible platforms of its kind in the market. It can be integrated with existing systems to leverage investments that customers have already made, or with additional programs such as payment platforms, accounting software, document management and storage systems, CRM’s, digital marketing software, document creation programs, and more. SigniFlow can also be scaled to fit any customer's needs; it can be implemented company-wide, by the department, by an individual user, or any measure in between.

In addition to its flexibility, SigniFlow offers customers heightened security for every document, workflow, process, and signature that it handles. It is easy to implement, easy to use, and saves companies’ money and countless hours spent on tedious paper processes. SigniFlow Americas also provides additional services such as AppFlow and DocFlow. AppFlow is a powerful on-boarding system that can automate forms to extract information, organize it according to pre-configured and fully customizable preferences, and populate customers’ databases and systems automatically. DocFlow is a management platform for files, records, statements, invoices, and any other document imaginable. Also capable of full automation, it can be used to organize documents through pre-configured rules that will perform processes for companies (filing, generating, sending, etc.) instead of doing it manually.

Since its inception, SigniFlow Americas has grown immensely, adding team members, partners, and a lengthy list of satisfied customers. The goal of SigniFlow Americas is to help companies go digital to increase security, streamline performance, increase efficiency and productivity, and decrease costs and time spent on paper-based processes. It helps in the development and utilization of innovative technology to digitize and safeguard the most important documents in an environmentally responsible medium that is easy for customers and easy on the planet.

A Dynamic Business Leader

Laila Robak, Founder and CEO of SigniFlow Americas, studied Computer Science at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She continued her education at Southern New Hampshire University where she got her bachelor’s degree in general studies with a concentration in International Business. Laila began her career in the IT field almost 15 years ago as a Programmer and Graphic Designer for her University before advancing to positions with companies such as the COPPETEC Foundation and IBM.

In 2012, Laila became the Vice President of Latin America and the Caribbean for the technology company GlobalSign. She was the Director of Partnerships at DigiCert, Inc., and was the Founder and CEO of her own cybersecurity company before creating SigniFlow Americas in 2018. Always striving to learn and do more, Laila has successfully completed a modest catalog of continuing education courses and has certifications in Identity and Access Management, Cybersecurity Fundamentals, Computer Forensics, Business Management, and several other subjects. Additionally, she received the CRN Top Women of the Channel award in 2013 and was recently named one of 2019’s Top Revolutionary Women in Security by IndustryWired magazine. Moreover, Laila garnered such substantial attention for SigniFlow that it was recognized by Insights Success magazine as one of the Pioneering eSignature Solution Providers to Watch in 2019.

Delivering Security-Driven eSignature Solutions

SigniFlow, a leader in the field, was developed for innovation and flexibility. It supports multiple signature models and allows customers to have cloud and/or in-house deployments. SigniFlow has integration with a variety of industry certified key vaults, which can be expanded to multiple users, both internal and external to the company, and can also be integrated to attend companies’ needs and existing infrastructure, while complying with industry, national, international, and internal requirements.

Because of the embedded security that digital signatures offer, they are a legally valid replacement for handwriting signatures internationally. SigniFlow applies a digital certificate to every e-signature processed, when the user doesn’t have their own digital certificate. What does it mean? An electronic signature alone is just an image of a signature, like a handwritten signature. When a digital certificate is applied, it generates an algorithm hash based on the content of the document, that is then embedded and sealed within the image of the signature. SigniFlow also uses Time Stamping to ensure the precise date/time the signature has taken place and that it has not been altered by the signer. When the document is opened, the viewer automatically calculates a hash based on its content and compares to the one embedded to the signature, if anything in the document is changed, even something as small as a removed comma or an added space, it will alter the hash and they will no longer match. As a result, an error message will be displayed, alerting anyone accessing the document that it has been altered. With the cryptographic process and the time stamping, both embedded to the image, additional to identity verification methods, you no longer have a simple signature, you have a signature that guarantees the identity, authenticity, integrity and the non-repudiation of the document, with legal validity.

Developing Innovative Solutions for Digital Customers

With the seemingly limitless access that everyone has to technology these days, new products and services are hitting the market every single day and can be in the hands of consumers with the touch of a button, rarely even an arms-length away. This makes it extremely difficult to come up with a truly innovative offering that will not become obsolete by the time the next morning’s newspaper is delivered. Everyone is always looking for the next best thing— new phone upgrade, the fancier running shoes, a car that drives itself and the list is endless. It’s hard to disrupt something when your chance to be a part of is so fleeting. Owing to its adaptability, versatility, and an extensive list of features, services, and possibilities, SigniFlow can be used by anyone in any industry in the world. SigniFlow’s solution wasn’t developed as an innovative way to corner the market; it is cornering the market on innovation.

Prioritizing Customer-Expectations Through Platform Optimization

SigniFlow is unlike any other platform on the market. It is designed to fit the customer, their processes, and their way of doing business. The flexibility and security of the platform itself, coupled with the intuitiveness of the company, makes it practically unbeatable in every aspect that customers are looking for. SigniFlow Americas prides itself on being able to integrate in any way its customers need, being highly adaptable, changeable and ease to integrate to other systems.

User security is one of SigniFlow Americas’ greatest concerns. Not just customer security, but security for every single user whether they have a SigniFlow account or not. The company doesn’t stop at just protecting its own customers, it goes steps further and makes sure that anyone using the platform—anywhere and anytime—is given the same priority and consideration no matter what. Laila says, “Where other platforms on the market exhibit lax security and subpar protection, SigniFlow guarantees that your documents, your work, and your company will always be safe. If anyone wants privacy, steadfast shields, and unwavering defense, SigniFlow can’t be beaten.”

Striding Towards Success While Overcoming Challenges

SigniFlow Americas is a 100% women-owned technology company. Given that the IT industry is predominantly male, Laila has encountered her fair share of struggles on her way to making a name for herself. Overcoming the stereotype has been challenging but overall has proved to be a learning experience for Laila and the entire company.

Another challenge faced by her was establishing the business as a serious competitor to other similar systems and platforms already on the market. By building a strong team, focusing on client development, and putting in long hours and lots of hard work, SigniFlow Americas has already made significant strides towards success and continues to prove itself in the industry.

The Future of Work

The more technologically advanced the world becomes, the more threats there are to worry about. In an era where people are constantly, sometimes unknowingly, exchanging information virtually through apps or smart devices, security and compliance are fundamental objectives of the company. Paper processes not only are hard to manage, but also create a high risk of data exposition, as you cannot guarantee who has had access to it, how many copies were made, if the physical copies were properly disposed or archived, and the same with the numerous digital copies created by the “print, sign, scan, email” process.

By allowing customers the freedom and flexibility to implement the platform comfortably at their own pace, SigniFlow hopes to ease the transition. It is built with compliance at its core. What that means for the customer is that when new standards, regulations, and laws are put into place, SigniFlow’s customers are already ahead of the curve.

From the start, SigniFlow Americas has made it its goal to change peoples’ minds about security and to make a positive impact in the environment. Due to all of the current and potential threats in the industry, conjectural concerns are morphing into real policies and laws. The problem is that the implementation of such policies and laws is extremely decentralized—there is no unification. Industries, states, regions, and even all countries are doing a wonderful job establishing rules to protect consumers but every time a new rule is introduced, the rest of the world is left wondering whether they have to comply or not. “With the confusion surrounding the differing regulations and the uncertainty about who they apply to, companies tend to view security measures as a financial burden instead of an investment. Compliance at the core gives SigniFlow the unique opportunity to change that mentality; taking concerns about being burdened and moulding them into the peace of mind and satisfaction that their choice to invest was the right one,” asserts Laila.

Besides that, it is very clear that the use of paper and all related resources such as ink, printers, mailing, has a great environmental impact with deforestation, the exacerbated use of water, and the emission of pollutants. Paper processes have become so common that companies don’t stop to think about how much it cost them, how they negatively impact productivity, what it costs the environment, and that most times it ends up in the trash with a digital copy filled.
