Sending Media with Captions is Now Easier than Ever on Whatsapp

Whatsapp added a new facility to its application that will enable users to forward images and videos with a caption and edit the images to blur out the background and profile photos within groups. Based on recent reports, WABetaInfo says that Whatsapp is all set to release an image blur tool. The feature will soon be rolled out for Whatsapp desktop beta testers. Along with this, the platform will allow users to forward text along with media. It currently allows users to forward images and videos, but not with captions. Users have to forward the media and then write related text separately, but now this feature will be changed for the better.

There is another upcoming Whatsapp feature that has caught the attention of the tech community. It involves showing profile photos within the group chats which will enable users to show the profile photo of group members alongside their messages in the group chat. In case the group members do not have a profile picture or it is not shown to everyone, the default profile icon from WhatsApp will show up. However, the feature is still under development.

Furthermore, reports also say that the platform has created two blur tools enabling users to edit their images by using an alternate blur effect. They can also choose the blur size to apply the effect with granular precision. The feature was first seen in June of this year, however, it is only available for some WhatsApp desktop beta users. The feature may likely be extended to Android phones shortly.
