PM Modi asks automobile industry to embrace global best practices in India
Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the automobile industry to embrace global best practices, green and clean mobility in India.
Modi said that the automotive sector is poised to propel even greater economic expansion, thereby flourishing in response to an increase in demand.
Addressing the annual convention of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), PM Modi urged the sector to establish a standard for the industry by incorporating global best practices into their operations.
"Working (on) greener and cleaner mobility is a vital step in this direction. It is important that this climate-conscious and sustainable vision resonates with domestic and international partners," he said.
Modi’s Vision of Vikshit Bharat
Modi mentioned the significance of aligning with the vision of a "Viksit Bharat" by the year 2047, conveying his confidence in the pivotal role that SIAM and its members will assume in achieving this mission.
Notably, Modi mentioned that the growth of India’s automobile industry is due to the contribution of the automobile industry leading to growth of the Indian economy.

PM Modi also appreciated the continuous advancement of infrastructure designed for the future, encompassing contemporary expressways, high-speed rail networks, and extensive multi-modal connectivity, enhancing the infrastructure of the nation.
Further Modi said, "As we accelerate towards our collective goals, it is essential that our progress is both rapid and sustainable. Green and clean mobility is a key component of this vision."
